• Preesall and Knott End Gala

  Today 15 of our amazing children took part in the school float at Preesall & Knott End Gala. Pictures can be seen on the PTFA section of the website. 

• Library visit

  We had a lovely visit from Jo from Knott End library today. She discussed the Reading Hero Challenge. The children are being encouraged to read at least 5 books over the holidays. Mrs Hogarth has also offered dojos for anyone that completes the challenge.  

  Every Tuesday afternoon in the holidays, there are FREE workshops for the children (and adults) to attend. They sound like lots of fun! 

• Consultation

  As of Monday 20^th March 2023, Saint William's Catholic Primary School and Sparklers Nursery is beginning a consultation period regarding our school joining the Blessed Edward Bamber Catholic Multi-Academy Trust (BEBCMAT) Trust. This consultation is open to parents, staff, parishioners and Governors at our school until the 23^rd April.

• Bikeability

  On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, Years R, 1, 2, 5 and 6 took part in bikeability training. They all had a good time and learnt new skills.

• History of the local area

  Thank you to Mr Power for coming into school today to share his knowledge of the history of the local area. The children loved this learning experience. 

• Animal visit

  Today, we celebrated Roald Dahl day with a house quiz. The children really enjoyed working together and answering the different questions about Roald Dahl's life and his successes. See photos on our class pages.
